1926 portrait of Emmeline GOULDEN PANKHURST (1858-1928). This political, British woman fought for the women's right to vote at the end of the XIXth century, early XXth, first within the Liberal Party, then within the Worker's Party. To give more weigh to her demands, in 1903 she created the Social and Political Women's Union and militated in an awesome manner. 1928 portrait of Emeline PANKHURST, the famous British suffragette. She participated in demonstrations for women's voting rights and used violence. She spent 30 discontinuous days in prison. England having passed the women's right to vote in 1918, she was elected to England's Parliament and died fighting for the right to contraception.
